Stacy Schuur

Yoga Facilitator

The journey to becoming a yoga facilitator began as a way to learn something rather than sitting on a beach feeling sorry for myself as I separated from my best friend and husband. At the time, I had begun studying herbalism and was interested in learning ayurveda. Unfortunately, there was not a program to learn ayurveda in the 6 weeks of leave that I had available, but I did find a yoga program with ayurvedic emphasis. I decided to learn in the home of yoga, Rishikesh, India, and found Rishikul Yogshala that had an opening 3 weeks later. While the training was based in Ashtanga and Hatha I chose not to facilitate the asanas (postures) but rather pranayama (breath movement), laughing yoga, and yoga nidra (deep sleep) in a class I called Yoga High. Please connect with me for donation-based private or group facilitation and check out the other offerings I facilitate with Nathan "ResoNate" Magee at ConnectionProgression.
